nexa p47


I am putting together a nexa P47 and was wondering about the esc...it will be a 300kv motor with a 6s set up and was thinking about a freewing 100a esc(from a avainti s edf) is there any reason to not use the freewing and go with the ztw 85a esc? thanks

I am not an expert on electric but have used a few. Should be OK to use the 100A, but check the timing and the switching frequency to match the 300kv motor. Some EDF's motors have different parameters than prop motors.

Ron1950,

The 100A ESC from the Avainti should work. However, Sam Ehab is correct. EDF motors sometimes use different settings. The good news is most ESC are somewhat smart so when a new motor is connected they adjust their settings. However, my recommendation is download the manual and do a factory reset to default values. Then you should have no problems with the ESC connected to your motor.

Went with the ztw 85a after reading that the same set up in the fms corsair is only a 80 amp. Thanks guys

this is a great looking plane it is easy to build and hopefully easy to fly as must P47's are get ya some lol

i do have a question for you builders...how do u get the exact location to drill the wing bolts?

low pass second flight flys great but i had put smaller wheels on it so the grass being wet didnt like the landing roll it nosed over,,watch the stall tests it breaks left for a turn so dont go too slow on yout landings lol.
Figured the nose over was from toe out of the struts at the hinge area. New struts and back to the bigger wheels
