Can't wait! The ar637t is fantastic and I've been itching for an 8+ channel version. The fwd programming is so easy and just works. I'm also pleasantly surprised about the price!

I've seen the 8020T on green in the EU store. Something for a full house glider.

Agreed I just hadn't seen it before. Looks designed to counter the 630 criticism re CF fuselages & cramped installs

Received, installed and test flown in my Gripen. I set it up as:

1. THR
2. Elevon
3. Elevon
4. Rudder
5. Gear
6.Canard
7.Canard
8. Nosewheel

Haven't quite got the AS3X gains sorted yet but it looks promising. Not using SAFE.

Having already set up several AR637T systems using forward programming, it was really quick and easy to set this up.

So you just set it up from strach? is there a place were we can download the AS3X settings per the plane we want to put it in?
I am going to get one for my EC-1500 and it be nice to just be able to upload all the AS3X settings for it as the plane is stock to the new RX is there a way to do this?
I am correct that the new SPMAR8020T does have As3X in it. just not safe unless you go with the 8360T

8020T does not have AS3X or SAFE.

I prefer to program the receivers myself. That way the plane flies like I want it to and not how someone else thinks it should fly.

Many of the E-Flite AS3X/SAFE programs are downloadable on the Spektrum website. I think you have to log in and maybe register your rx to access it. Like Kalland suggests, though, I'd go through that setup THOROUGHLY before flying it. One little thing out of place could mean disaster.

As Andy Kunz said, the files for the old AS3X rx dont work in the new rx and have other gain settings.

if this is true they should change the name of it then cause on the website it says
AR8020T DSMX 8-Channel AS3X Telemetry Receiver
Well you have to admit whoever at HH in charge of setting up the AS3X on these BNF models are doing a awesome job cause my Timber X, Night timber x, EC1500, and all the micros that use AS3X have flown awesome out of the box.

Always check and make sure your corrections and directions are correct and get up high then flip it on to test it so you have time to react if it does something crazy.

I understand the old files wouldn't work that is why i asked about getting new files for the planes at some point i thought they were going to have it where we could download the profiles for each one of the bnf planes for like the AR637T and others.
I did look at the spektrum page and only has ones for the AR636.
