my first sail boat

Hi,

I am striving to get finished with my first sail boat. However I need some help about the gears. I mean it seems pretty straightforward how to control the rudder but I am not clear at all how to use the other servo, the one supposed to control the sails.
Could you please help me. I need the easiest way to do that.

Hi Submarco,

I'm sure you'll have a blast with your sailboat when it is finished. The second servo will let the sails in and out, using a long arm with the sheets (sail control ropes) attached near the ends.

Where these are installed depends a little on which boat you are building. There is excellent information at www.amya.org and www.victoriarc.org on different approaches to the running rigging.

Best of luck!

Ray

The Sail Servo comments page on the AMYA website has diagrams of setting up different sheeting arrangements.
