Anyone tried Expert or G.P. Electrifly recievers?

I was looking at some new recievers. Expert Electronics RF650, & Great Planes Electrifly 5ch with speedcont. My questions are- is the RF650 dual conversion & what is it's range(opened up the bag at the hobby shop & inst. doesn't give either of these spec.s. On the G.P. 5ch does the built in speed cont. reset after bec kicks in(there is no arming switch that i saw in the box, making me think it would reset). Anyone tried these rec.'s?

I have an Expert unit in my Zagi and it works great. I was told by the guys at the LHS that it is basically JR's 'off brand' and was identical to the similar JR's in all respects except the decal.

They are usually pretty on top of that stuff, so I have no reason to doubt them.

Will be getting 2 more of them in the near future.

Abernathy's and about $53 IIRC for the Expert unit.

A friend of mine picked up a GWS RX yesterday from there and it is TINY and should work with a Zagi.

Will put the GWS on a gram scale if he brings it by again today.
I think that he only paid $25 for the RX and about $9 for the xtal which I thought was not too bad for an FM unit.

The GWS unit weighs 0.20 oz / 6 grams WITH xtal for the 4-pin vertical connection JR RX

The Expert receiver is a JR 610 with a different decal. You need to use a JR SINGLE CONVERSION crystal with this receiver. You should have around 1000ft. of range.
