Astro 109,110D and 112D Chargers Update Firmware

Greetings All
I was nosing around the Astro Flight web site today and noted under accessories that they have updated firmware chips for the 109, 110D and 112D chargers. Unfortunately they do not have the PDF data sheets that explain the updates online yet.

I was wondering if anyone out in Ezone land knows that the update firmware covers for each of the chargers and how one goes about finding out which version of the firmware their charger has.

My 109 is about 2 years old and the 110D and 112D are probably in the 4 to 5 year range.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks all.

The only one on that list that I have is the 109 . The version number is displayed in the bottom right hand corner of the dispaly when first powered up. Current ver 1.5 which provides a signal beep at the change from one stage to the next and locked cell count at the end of stage one.

I looked at the site and it says the latest version for the 112D is 1.2. When I turn on my unit it says the version is 1.9 and it is at least 3 years old. I guess the site needs to be updated and I would like to know what changes/improvements this gives.

Some of the updates were not for the end user. They were added for use in their own shop.

The latest version of the software for the 112 charger is
V12 this has been around for over a year

The latest version of software for the 109 is v1.5
this is about 1 year old.

for the 109 V1.3, V1.4 and V1.5 are almost identical to the user
except that 1.5 beeps at end of each phase
beeps once at end of phase 1
beeps twice at end of phase 2
and beeps three times when finished

Does version 1.5 lock the cell count after phase 1 as stated above? I have
version 1.4 in the 109 and am trying to find out the benefit to me to order an upgraded chip...

yes 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5 all freeze cell count at the end of phase 1
if you have 1.4 the only change would be the beeps.

Thanks Bob!!

I guess I'll just keep 1.4 for a while - the charger has worked flawlessly for me as it is... Thanks for a great charger!

And what does the V 12 update do for the 112D?
Maybe I missed the decimal point and thought that was V1.2.
(Well when you get as far along in life as I am you tend to miss "points" sometimes)
I just looked at the Astro site again and it does say V 1.2 !!!!
