KST X06 - 7mm servo
I'm very excited to show off the new X06 from KST. This has been in the works for around 3 years or so (with a break in between).
Full metal construction typical of KST, with a 7mm profile and around 6.5 grams, this is perfect for 1m models and for tails on some 1.5m models. If you're thinking of a 4-servo wing, this is it. I've been benching testing the newest prototypes right before production and they're legit. Most of my comparisons were with the Blue Bird 101DMG since that has been my go-to 1m servo with similar size. -Much stronger (around 50%) than the 101DMG -Centering is much better than the 101DMG, but a little shy of the X08 v5 -Much less gear play than a 101DMG, but I think a fraction more than a X08 v5 (dual bearing) - I think I can notice it when I have both testing right beside each other -Little bit slower, but not noticeable unless directly beside each other -On paper it's taller than a 101DMG, but once horns are on it's actually around 1.5~2mm shorter I'm installing 4 into a Deviant right now (build manual photos) and 2 into a Fury (tails). I can't comment on reliability and use over time until I fly it for a few months, but brand-new performance so far has been very good on the bench. Within the Deviant theme, I can see it easily being used for all 4 surfaces. 4 of these new servos will essentially be the same price as 2* X08 v5 and 2* 101DMG. For 1.5m DLG it'll be good for stab, but I think rudder will need more testing to see how it handles the blowback on launch on 1S. For F5K it'll run perfectly on tails, much more power on 2S (HV capable). I think X08 will still be the de-facto choice for wings (F3K/F5K) and most likely rudder on F3K. 3.8V - 0.8 kg.cm 6.0V - 1.5 kg.cm 8.4V - 1.8 kg.cm **Expecting our first batch in 10-14 days** |

These started out 6mm 3 years ago, we couldn't get the 6mm to work reliably enough. There simply aren't any available pots that can do what needs to be done at that dimension.
My first batch of 300 should be in my China warehouse by end of the month (www.armsoar.com), and I should have another 150 in the CA warehouse around Oct 10 or so (www.armsoarusa.com). |

Have you thougt about running them on 2S for a 1.5mm DLG in the wings? Looks like you get comparable torque of a x08 on 1s.

I have, but I prefer to keep my DLGs on 1S. F5K on the other hand will usually be run 2S, so wings and tails can plug in directly. Will need to step down if using 3S powertrain.

I'm looking forward to Gavin testing these on the tails to see how well they hold up to launch on 1S. Might be enough? I doubt I would be able to strain them enough.

This is how it looks in a Deviant nose.

excellent. I think I will replace the bluebirds in my deviant (even though I don't have any problems with them now)
