Stabilization RX for Beginner Foamy

Hi all,

I want to build up a JW60 at about 50-60oz, purely for new guys that come up the hill. I want to use it as training tool and put a stabilizer system in it. Have bought a Lemon Rx with such feature, as you cant get the Orange Rx I used to use for this purpose.

It needs to be simple! Any other options out there? Have seen the S6R but that seems a little more involved with set up and I'm not taking a laptop to the hill

I've used these to good effect

I turn the elevator gain right down.

It's not a receiver/flight controller combo unit, but the Aura 8 works really well (had one in my gulp and also a jw60). They've recently come out with a less expensive but similarly capable 5 channel version that should work for your application. I use Libre Pilot on either a cc3d nano or cc3d revo in my builds. Works very well, but kind of a hassle to get tuned.

What don’t you like about the Lemon? Works great in my Bees and UL JW48.
$25 it’s hard to beat. Remote on/off, remote gain.

Nothing, first post I said I had just bought one, its on its way. I remember reading you'd used one or two, but didn't remember your thoughts. Sounds like you like them?

Yeah I do, very easy to set up and when the gain is set low it feels quite normal. You still need to set TX rates high so when switching between stabilization on/off it feels very different.
Does not have the hesitation on roll that the Oranges did.
Iíve got a DX8 so no sliders, got the gain on a knob which isnít optimal, but I donít mess around with it too much once dialed in. Only use higher for landing.
These work pretty well on 4 cells but my latest Bee on 5 is pretty fast for 33oz at 184mph.

Please share with us what you end up doing Alex, definitely interested. And just to confirm what’s the difference with Orange and lemon RX’s? Are they both Spektrum DSMX compatible?

I’m not even sure if the Orange is still available.
Both compatible with DSMX TXs but the orange is Dsm2 and the Lemon is true DSMX.
The Lemon also has remote gain.
I get mine from these guys, they usually have them on sale every other week for $5 off.

I’m not sure if this helps our international friends too much but...
The Lemon Gyro/Recrs are on sale at RCJuice

Frustrating. Aaron ordered some RXs direct from Lemon and it took several weeks longer than expected.
