HMS Peregrine Frigate/Sloop


Hello
I will show you my newest projekt, the Sloop Peregrine.
The model is 1:43 scale and 90 cm long.
The model is not finish and some details are dismanteld.
But the first tests looks good!

Hello

Yes, it is a rc model.
Next i make sails and i have a engine at the keel.

don't understand...are the controls for the sails and rudder already installed.....good idea the motor....

The rudder is insatalled but there are no sail control.
I can sail only with the wind !

guess yer gonna need a pond you can walk around, or a long cord...maybe a floating fish line?

oh...one last thing....maybe a suggestion, if you are able, to make the sails out of a very fine and thin material for scale, so they can flop around in the wind ...silk and such are very hard to sew me thinks, but it would improve the appearance 100%....a model with stiff sails is not as appealing and looks more like a toy.... i've always been struggling with that even on my larger models......may be quite a challenge at this scale.....anyways, a ship in the water is better than a ship in a cage

No, no cord.
I have a engine, and so i can go against the wind!
The sails i have made of Tyvek, a syntetic paper, very strong and light.
The model looks very cool on the water.

In the pic below is the frigate shtandart a very similar ship, i hope my sloop looks so good on the lake!:

Gerald 66, your ship is wonderful, the level of detail is fantastic. It looks like it should be sitting on a mantle, but you have it sailing, very well done sir.
