Aerofoam L-39 review

So beginning of this year I converted a freewing l39 to turbine it was fun but wanted something bigger as an everyday jet. So I picked up the aerofoam L-39 from global jet club along with an acex 80. First off it showed up in like a day im not sure how you even ship a jet that fast ! When I pull it out of the box I see that it has aluminum control arms and ball links and this jet is built very well I slap it together and spray it with minwax. The "build" takes about 3 hrs and im ready . I take it out and the first flight I drag it in for probably the slowest turbine landing I have seen. Im 8hrs into the turbine and 50 flights of some hard flying and no signs of stress on the wings this thing is a tank I even got my buddy into turbines buddy boxing on this jet. Short and sweet if you want a first turbine/trainer buy this jet . If you want a cheap fun sport jet buy this jet. If your on a budget for a turbine jet buy this jet!!! Right at 3k rtf I promise it going to fly better then any 2500 dollar deal on a beat up twin boom used I can't say enough about how much fun this jet is. I can't thank the global jet club team enough for all there help and support thank you Carrie and Ralph

Glad you are having fun with it. I even did one with a 45n Turbine installed. Here is a video from Las Vegas

The doors do sag a little im going to put a small spring in there to see if it helps and the minwax is nice it gives it a nice flat covering that dosnt stain with dirty hands

Thanks I removed my doors for now . It is a great flyer, enjoying mine. I need to find a place to source some small springs

Hi Ralph
I ordered one of these as edf. Can you tell me the diameter at the end of the tail pipe? I want to know my maximum size my exhaust tube can be. Do you think a jetfan 110 would be a good fit?

I just received the same jet it will be my first turbine. I am amazed at the quality of the plane. The foam is very very hard. I would love to see more pictures of your minwax job. Will it crack/yellow in the sun?

Any videos for us to enjoy?
How would it hold up on grass ?
How big are wheels (inch/mm)?

I have kingtech k80g2 which is a bit heavy, 8.6kg thrust, but do hope CG would be ok, and not too hot for landing.

Turbine is 1300grams, how much does your
acex80 weight? I see batteries are full in front already for cg.
Thanks

The mains are 65mm
I think it would do fine on cut grass
The motor sits on the CG so a little more weight would be fine

Thanks for the wheels info, they seem up to the job, just would like more grass op videos before buying.

Can you tell me what is spacing between the turbine mounts inside the plane.
Hope 11.5cm or more.

About weight,
So the whole 1.6L(kg) of fuel is in front of cg?
