This is what the product was suppose to look like. Perhaps in the future we can finally get affordable plastic cases made.

So just to confirm. It’s safe to use this for ignition cutoff as long as the ignition can handle the voltage.

There is no BEC built into the X16 so it can not handle driving an ignition system directly. The X24 has that capability built in. You can use some other type of external ignition system and control it with the X16, such as the Tech-Aero BEC or a battery with opto-isolator.

X16 setup

Hi Jim,

Need to computer program the X16.
I can connect X10 to XDP just fine, but can't make X16 be seen by XPD.
X16 enters programming mode OK
My serial link is one of the really early ones.
What am I missing?

Page 15 of the manual. Is there a firmware update?
Page 20 of the manual seems to be showing a few extra ports.

Regards,
OldandSlow.

The X16 can not be computer programmed. It must be programmed using the push buttons and display. The same is true of the X24.

The Serial Link can only be used to update the firmware of these devices.

I will look at the manual. It was derived from the X24 manual.
