Taranis X9 Lite S + S6R Signal Loss

Please help,

I have a Taranis X9 Lite S running FW-X9LiteS-erskyTx-opentx 2.3.9, sdcard-128x64-2.3V0029, FW-X9LiteS-ISRM_v2.1.0 bound to
S6R running SxR-ACCST-2.1.0.

Transmitter keeps saying "telemetry lost, telemetry found, RF signal critical". It loses signal randomly for a couple seconds and recovers. Servos stay held in position and a couple second later return to nutral. LED is green, then red, then green again. Distance from model has no effect on this iss
Been fighting with this for a month and can't get a stable signal.

Any ideas before I return it all?

My X9Lite+RX4R had similar "telemetry lost - telemetry recovered" behavior

I was getting the exact same behavior with my X9Lite and an R-X4R - (with both on 2.1.0). I then found out that FrSky had released a newer firmware for the R-X4R, (2.2.1). After flashing the RX with the new 2.1.1, all my problems went away.

Unfortunately, it appears that there is no new firmware release yet for the S6R to correct this erroneous (and dangerous) behavior. (I just checked the FrSky downloads page.)

Another good place to ask is over on Aloft Hobbies' forum. The recent posts on the following thread indicates that there is a Beta version of the RX firmware that may be released fairly soon:

S6R and S8R configuration questions and concerns

Hope this helps!

@ridgeronr... Just saw FrSKY put the 2.3.9 for the X9 Lite S up for download today. I found it on the OpenTx site a couple weeks ago.

Does anyone her have a stable X9 Lite S and S6R firmware combo that is working just fine?

I don't need the latest and greatest firmware, just one that won't let me down.

x9 lite, non S

the thing i did notice is that close range failsafe got worse. Like within 3ft of the plane.

That's weird with the failsafe, haven't seen that on the forums yet. The issue i'm having has no range noted differences. Just keeps dropping signal.

He actually mean the short range swamping. I had not noticed much if any difference on the S6R but there is a difference on the XM+

I'm running out of ideas to try. Am I just screwed here?

What are you powering the receiver and servos with? What you describe can also be typical of a combination of weak battery and powerful servo or just plan limp battery.

New and freshly charged 3s 3300mah 30c. I hooked my old trusty FlySky THX9 and reciever to it and the range is good for over 1 mile.

I don’t think you are powering the receiver directly with a 3s anything,

Sounds like you have a BEC in the circuit - yes?
