BadAss Motors are built from the finest materials available, and set new standards for Power, Quality and Performance that discerning modelers will appreciate. These Premium-grade motors will bring out the full flying potential of any R/C model Aircraft. Starting from a blank slate, Lucien Miller, CEO of Innov8tive Designs, set out to design the finest motors for the R/C aircraft market. Using the best materials available, such as hi-temperature N52 curved magnets, hi-temperature copper wire, high efficiency Kawasaki stator laminations, 7075 aluminum alloy and high-quality bearings, these motors truly live up to the name “BadAss”. If you’re tired of cheap motors that don’t last, or motors with a complete lack of performance information, then you’re going to appreciate the new level of power, performance, and quality that BadAss motors offer.
BadAss motors provide multiple options for mounting a propeller. Included with each motor is the standard bolt-on style prop adapter, which works for most applications. An optional extra-long bolt-on prop adapter is also available if you are using a prop with a thick hub along with a spinner with a thick backplate. Both adapters come with a standard hex nut and a Ny-Lock hex nut, for modelers that prefer the security of a locking style nut. Also available is the optional Bolt-on Smooth Shaft prop adapter. This part allows you to use a collet style prop adapter, folding prop hub, or aluminum spinner with integrated collet adapter on your motor without having to move the shaft. A full line of replacement parts is available to keep your BadAss motor in top shape for years to come.
Now you can get BadAss brand motors in a 23mm series with multiple size and KV options. See the full list of available 23mm series motors below:

I'm guessing the 23mm stator sizes are 30mm outside diameter.

Lots more info here. Size, weight, shaft diameter and if you look at the availble mounts on page 4, they give the mounting measurements.
https://innov8tivedesigns.com/manufa...adass.html?p=1 I believe the prices are reasonable for the reputed quality of the company's motors. I find it nice to see small motors with Kv that's usable with props bigger than a toothpick. |

Hi
I agree Lucien's prop charts are fantastic. Also Badass parameters (no load currents for several voltages) Thanks Louis |

There is no doubt that Innov8tive provides among if not the best information about their motors, which along with the wide range makes them super easy to recommend.
Having the Kv in the motor label is great. I appreciate the stator dimensions drive performance more so than the external dimensions, but the effect of the stator characteristics are captured in Kv and current / power ratings and so are not directly relevant to assessing the suitability of a motor - while in contrast knowing the external diameter at a glance is relevant, as is weight. I know hoping for standardisation in nomenclature is a pipe dream, but I'd be interested to hear a rationale for labelling motors by stator sizw |

Found everything I needed to know about these motors - and then some. All the engineering diagrams are in the photos on the site. That makes it easier to solve some technical questions I may have.
Is Lucien considering trying out some folding props, like Aeronaut/Graupners or XOAR fixed props? |
