WoW! Beautiful videos!! Looks very easy, but... I think they´re more difficult to fly than an rc airplane on windy conditions. Am I right or wrong? I mean, if you loose the airship you can find it in another country. Do they have a bleed valve in case of emergency?

Mediabox...
The Indoor blimps do not have problems , if you dont have wind sources...
The Outdoors usually have bleed valves and they atre harder to operate due to weather issues...

Hello again. Interesting answers, it seems that there are two different points of view on this matter, so... pays well? How much in round figures?

Indoor I can get US500 day clean in my pocket
with no swets and half of the time flying with half a brain, only one eye open (the other one sleeping)
The only time you open both eyes ...is when a pretty babe comes to talk to you...
one cylinder of gas only to push arround in air conditioning enviroment...

Outdoor US$ 1100 clean...
Swetting at all times, with all 3 (three) eyes open...
the brain scaning the horizon every 2 seconds for indices of strong wing coming out off nowhere, heavy clouds that can suck you up...
and having to hear from the client...
"Why don´t you fly it here or ... there or... everywhere..." or how come your not flying now?...

If your limits , your luck and your Balls can take it... it is fantastic...
you might get rich sooner

At least 3 cylinders to deal with in rain, sun and storm...

1100$ is cheap we ask at lesats 3000$ / day... if many days 2500$
and we also do a contract very precise with weather conditions rain etc..
if it is impossible to fly we also earn 500$ don't forget that these $$ are peanuts for big companies but great value when you fly...

but i agree with guga indoor is easy money and if you have 15 days every month ..you pay a student 100$ day you ear almost without doing anything
6000$ a month pretty cool no?

ok = 2 days outdoor :-)

attached pict 8m outdoor for university Alicante Spain
soon 9m in Chile, 10m in Sardegna, 10m in Holland and my new hybrid police blimp.

60ft blimp demo for NHRA

For those of you who might not already know we demoed our 60 ft blimp with a full size Cini Flex HD camera gimbal for the NHRA 2 weeks ago in Phoenix AZ. ESPN and the NHRA loved it. Our footage from the blimp made the Saturday and Sunday broadcasts on ESPN2. We where told we are the first company that has introduced a new camera platform that ESPN has allowed on air within 15 minutes of them receiving the feed. We are working on obtaining sponsorship for the blimp for the rest of the season. Below are some pictures. I will post some video later.

That's VERY cool, galaxy!

Does it pass the scratch, sniff, and smell test from our buddies on the island of D.C.?

I see you have toned down your rhetoric.
No logo on the blimp, seems pointless, video footage for the network can be provided in many other ways.

From the pictures I can see many many problems!

Well Blimpman, your reply does not surprise me. You think your substandard blimps set the standard, but your systems are way below par. Your construction is inadequate, your bags look like limp condoms, and your banners do not fit your blimps. And worst of all your proud of it!!!! We are working towards landing substantial clients and so far we have made huge splash with ESPN. I have investors that have put over a MILLION dollars toward my company, and our blimps. We have spent over a year and a half developing our 60ft blimp, and will continue to do so. I am so tired of reading your BS posts, and I am sure most of the people monitoring these threads will agree. It really does not matter what you say about me, my company, or about my blimps. I will let my achievements speak for them selves. If people have been looking at your moronic posts and asinine assumptions its clear you are delusional and are going no where real fast. I just hope you do not hurt any one in the process.

To everyone else,
I hope that most of you guys out there see how dangerous this guys is and what a threat he is to our future business. I hope anyone getting into this line of work does not fallow his example. My doors are always open to people who want to come by my shop and see our operations first hand. When we have secured a sponsor for the NHRA season I will be looking for people to join our team. We plan on building 2 more 75ft blimps to support our jobs, and I will soon need pilots and ground crews. When we are ready to start hiring I will post new threads on all the discussion groups. Look for the videos of the NHRA event we did in AZ coming soon. We are getting approval from the NHRA to post them.

I guess I was wrong about toning down your rhetoric.
I would say unprotected props don't pose a danger.
Lets hope you don't kill anybody.
No landing gear makes for a very out of control on the mast situation.
Balloonets are not needed.
Multi bladed props are very inefficient you should know that.
Prop shaft angled down, stupid.
You can not transport your blimp very costly to fill every time you try to fly.
You can have all the investors you want if you have no clients you will have no $ to pay back your investors.
You have shown no achievements I have one 2 year contract and one 5 year contract what do you have?
I have already done TV with ABC.
I have not seen your blimp flying along side the Goodyear blimp at a nationally televised game.
I made a nice profit last year and I will double it this year.
All I can see from your post is a lot of wasted $.
I think I have said enough.
