Cool
Professional Marketing Blimp Events..
This Thread has the objective of displaying pictures and show the growth of the market throughout many coutries of the demand for radiocontrolled Dirigeables performing Marketing Actions.
This first one was the lauching of a DVD from a group called "FalaMansa" in Brazil... The song in particular that this Dirigeable(by the name"ForAll" that I developed) is performing in a song named "Decola" which means "TakeOff" in english. FalaMansa plays a Rithym called Forró, which has it´s origin in the US.AirForce Base during the IIWW in the City of Natal northern Brazil... The AirMen there at that time(1940´s), created a party every thursday, which they called "ForAll" which atracted all the women from the sorroudings of Natal to participate, thus entertaining all the pilots and Airmen from the AirBase maintaining the High moral of the troops... (if you know what I mean, High) The way the people in Natal pronouced ForAll was: Forróóó, and thats how this rithym was born, also note that the instruments found most commonly among musicians those days in Natal was: Zabumba, metal Triangle, Accoustic Guitar, Accordeon and a Mix drum made out of empty cans and others... thats how Forró is played... Many pilots end up married by the end of the War with those Girls that went to the "ForAll" parties... As a matter of fact(a coincidence) that´s the true story of my Mother in Law Wanda... and my Father in law Bob... which was a pilot making CoastGuard against German Subs in the Brasilian Northern Coast...and she was one of the girls attracted for the Party ForAll... The Group FalaMansa realy was very happy with the Balloon "ForAll", and now every show they perform the song "Decola" they include the Balloon I created for them... I can hear in my mind the lyrics of the song saying... " TakeOff(Decola) my sweet lady... takeoff(decola) with me" You Can see the video clip in this link... ForAll Balloon
Note the 2 eletric motors on the side of the Gondola...

art work on blimps
Great to see blimps beside famous people, especially the guy holding it....hehe
Perhaps you may help me with my concerns regarding on "how to apply art work on a blimp like what u have in the pics." Is there a special technique? i have several "blank" blimps on stock and just wondering how to apply atwork on them that would produce a professional effect. |

Rtgon,
All my Dirigeables I Apply the logos made from plotter vinil adhesive... The hint for taking the logos off without leaving glue residues or riping the envelope is to use a furniture polish spray silicone based, that will prevent the adhesive to stick to the envelope forever. And also makes it easier to peal off Just a light spray and use a cloth to spread the furtniture polish on the envelope area where the logo is to be applyied . Take a look on this one... |

Rtgon,
All art worh is done by a friend of mine (Labella he is a modeller too), that has a busines of making adhesives... He uses computer and plotter, using to do the art normal programs like Corel Draw, Photoshop, and Photopaint... 1-Check out this one, which was made for the Brasilian Air Force Demonstration Squadron, on their birthday celebration, one of the Pilots Lutenant Christiane holds the Blimp. 2- This other one during the Graduation of the Airforce 2004 Cadets They realy get a Kick out of posing for pictures, and trying to pilot the Blimp during the party... 3- Entrance Of the Academy AFA You can see a video clip of this event in this link: Aviators Dance Party Blimp

Rtgon,
Some envelopes I make my self, others I import from USA, and the gondolas I make my self with GWS motors and props, and Speed controls from eletric cars. For example This Black envelope and these gondolas(single motor) for the semi Scale Kit that I designed my self. It is a Semi Scale of the Dirigeable Nº 9 " La Balladeuse" contructed by Santos Dumont in 1903...for us Brazilians ...he was the first man to ever fly an airplane heavier than Air, taking off by its own Power engine, that he modified him self... the plane was the 14 BiS... Dumont also invented the Ballonets for Blimps and Dirigeables... among many other inventions like the Wrist Watch that we all use nowadays. I sell this Kit for master modelists and professionals and I have already sold several for the US and England, for France and 2 for Chile, in Brasil there are several operators that bought the "La Balladeuse" from me. Regards, Guga You can see a video performance of this Blimp in this link... "La Balladeuse"
Celebrating the 100th year since the Brasilian Santos D´umont flew around the Eiffel tower in Paris in 1903, with his dirigible #6, I launched a kit of his airship #9, for the serious and master airmodelist. The kit comes with a video showing how to assemble the gondola, cdrom information and video, 2 meter Envelope (bag) assembled, all wooden parts, plans, and the single electric motor vectoring assembly wich contains: 2 micro servos, one electric motor and a PWM speed controler, all pre assembled. Podes tambem clicar no link abaixo para ver melhor... http://media8.dropshots.com/photos/4...4/b_081347.jpg As medidas são: Bico 0,0X0,0: 10X8cm: 20X14cm: 30X19cm: 40X25,5cm: 52X52,5cm: 76X52,5cm: 85X52,5cm: 101X52,5cm: 114X52,5cm: 134X52,5cm: 144X24cm: 154X23cm: 164X21cm: 174X19cm: 184X16,5cm: 194X13,5cm: 204X10cm: 214X6,5cm: 220X4cm: 235X4cm...FIM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ImagesView all Images in thread
