So has anyone done or started doing one of the 1/200 carriers from trumpeter or Merit for RC???
I just got 1/200 Trumpeter Yorktown and want to, I have looked and have not had any success in locating any one doing one
dont want to rethink the wheel if someone has gone before me I can learn from there mistakes or should I say successes

Funny. I just finished(minor paint work to fix but maiden voyage successful) my 1/200 Merit CV08 Hornet.

Learned a bunch of things I would do differently looking back. Keep others the same.
Works well enough all around.

Guess I have to make a thread afterall to share my experiences.(though I made few pictures at different stages. It is mostly plastic glueing anyway)

I would be interested in how/where /Access to the interior radio installation? because of the interior plane storage deck. Did you cut some access hatches? or?

First post mentions the hatches I put into the ship. You're correct about cutting the actual hatches into the hangar deck and glueing the rest down for water tightness as opposed to relying on the flight deck for that exclusively.

Friend of my is building Yorktown, My Hornet is still resting in the box. Removable is rear part of deck, so you have acces to motors, ruders, batteries.. Front part is glued. Includes are some pictures. If you will need more, just let me know. Motors are 4x 280 Mabuchi
