So Kiwicraig, you have some insider info that this M1 is real and not just a rumour? That would be so cool! I am putting on hold any thoughts of the E160, JJRC M03 and Blade 150s for the time being. DD motor and Sunnysky/OMP build quality is super awesome and unrivalled. Great expectations ahead.

Someone at HeliFreak saw that picture on a website that he did not name. Hawk-rc should have some insider information as he has close contacts with the factory. I will ask him whether he knows anything about this tomorrow.

Do we even know it's smaller than the M2 at this point?. I know the name having a smaller number might be seen to imply that it's a smaller heli, but OMPHobby could be throwing us a curve ball.

I just talked to Benny at Hawk-RC. This is what he said

It will be much smaller than the OMP M2, in fact it will be around the same size as the T-Rex 150X, XK K120 and mCPX BL2

The length of the rotor blades is expected to be around 115 to 125mm

It is expected to be released on 25th July

He expects the price to be around $180 which will be in line with its main competitor, the T-Rex 150X.

I didn't ask him about that.

Anyway I am in because I have had a lot of trouble with the 150X, K120 and the mCPX BL2. I hope OMP will set the standard for this size class of helicopters.

It does makes sense for OMP to release a heli of this size rather then one that is just slightly smaller than the M2.
