BS the video clearly shows that she was alone, and entered an area that was already cleared of people.

She's filed a lawsuit for false arrest. Have you read the posted Tribune article?

fyi, the video has likely been edited, as the article twice mentions more than a dozen people walking through the crime scene.

Lawsuit is not a complaint as LEOs understand it.

Not a lawsuit.

The facts remain that she's file one, as well as a formal complaint against the officers. Likely their conditioning her arrest on her complaint will help her with her lottery win.

You really do not understand what was going on. The officer's superior was obviously trying to give her an easy out, but she was so involved about violation of her personal space that she insisted on making an issue of it. The officer had a duty and a right to physically remove her, and the easy out would have simply made things go back to normal. Any ex-military person recognizes an easy out when they see it. But there is no curing stupid, and she was exceptionally so. The lawsuit will never make it to court. Her supervisors will make sure she drops it.

The best she can hope for is a civil judgment, good luck with that, but the worst would be a criminal citation, Felony Obstruction. Her arguing with the sergeant proves that she was clueless as to the Law.

Yeah. It's all in the article. Fyi, the Chicago Tribune is a right center, highly factual news source.

"Department rules require police supervisors to “initiate a complete and comprehensive” investigation after receiving a complaint. On the video, Spyker raised the specter of arrest within 35 seconds of Lee approaching him with her concerns....Lee submitted her own report to COPA, where the matter is under investigation. She also has filed a federal lawsuit against the two officers and the city of Chicago, alleging false arrest and a violation of her First Amendment right to free speech...Lorenzo Davis, a former supervisor in a past incarnation of the city’s police oversight agency, told the Tribune it’s unlikely Haran would face discipline for removing Lee from the crime scene as he has a responsibility to protect the scene’s integrity.

However, he said the events that followed could be more problematic for the department. Citizens should not be retaliated against for speaking up or voicing a concern, he said.

“Everyone has a right to file a complaint. An arrest should never be conditioned on whether that person drops the complaint or not,” he said. “That destroys trust in the community.” "

Regardless of bias, is the article incorrect or not?

The article certainly doesn't portray her as a self entitled loud mouthed or denigrate her complaint and law suit.

She does that all by her own self in the video.

That would be your opinion. It is certainly not reflected in the Tribune article.

And yet I've sourced my statement, while yours remains an unsourced opinion.
