Here's a 2-minute clip with some of the video I shot today with my Slinger. The video includes Alvin's sweet hit that sent the Slinger spiraling into the ground. So now we know what a combat hit looks like from the plane's point of view.

Great video!

Hey will you send me a PM with your set-up? My dad wants to do airborne video really badly and that setup looks awesome.

Brent, hope the finger heals nicely. Cliff excellent video! Any damage to the equipment after the hit? Looks like you tumbled all the way to the ground?

Sorry to miss out on the fun. I should be finished up with our new home in 2-3 weeks and can get back to flying.

Yes, I couldn't recover since the impact of the combat hit busted one of my elevon control horns. No damage to the video equipment, but that's because on this newest pod everything is protected as much as possible, which is why I dared throw the plane up into the middle of combat. The Slinger itself, however, will need a little TLC -- a new elevon control horn and a little hot glue to fix a crack in the foam about 6 inches from the wingtip. But those are normal combat repairs.

I'm glad to hear that the bank accepted your offer on that home. Levier was telling me that sometimes the bank will sit on a bank sale offer for months, waiting to see if they get any more offers. I'm glad it went through so quickly. Good luck getting moved. Are you doing quite a bit of remodeling/redecorating before you move in?

No redecorating or remodeling. The home was never completed so where just trying to get to the point that the city will give us approval to live in it before we close. Things like replacing broken window, stolen copper pipe, hand rail, insulation, electrical etc. Its keeping me very busy to the point that I havent been able to fly

Great day for combat. Cliff, Alvin and I burned up some batteries and Cliff took a small piece out of my Wild Wing.
Cliff then flew his FPV plane. Way too many wires for me to understand but it seemed to work well.
Great fun.

Evan, you deserve the point for that hit. You lined it up all the way around the turn and then initiated the contact when we got close. Nicely done. And thanks to both of you guys for spotting for me for the FPV flight. Here's a screen capture.
