Never enough time to fly!
ecase's Avatar
Well, I guess I have to apologize to the SL group. I went down to Orem to see the the guys in the South fly combat. I have to admit, it was a lot of fun. At least, it was after I got my Wild Wing launched. Same old problems. I did get one, small wing hit. I bought a new wing from Lee. It is an awesome plane. I think he is calling it the Pinata Assassin. He also helped me with the new wing I already have (how many does one guy need?). I did have my first radio lock-out. I wasn't the only one either, Adrian and Lee both got locked out. I think all three of us were using 2.4 transmitters.
Thanks to all from the South, it was a fun day.

It sounded like Wednesday was the best day for most people. But I brought my wing today since I know Tuesdays are better for you and Jeremy. I'll pm you my cell. Call or post if you guys want to fly today.

And I will, of course, bring my plane tomorrow, too.

Sorry I missed your post. I figured we weren't flying today so I went to lunch. Wednesdays will work. We will just miss them every other week. But that's not any different than Tuesdays have been for us.

Secret Rebel Weapon To Takes Out Yankee Tx's

Hey Ecase, that lock out problem Saturday with your Tx was partly my fault. Been working on a new secret weapon that will take out Yankee radios Don't have it dialed in yet and took out a couple of our Tx's too. Should be ready for the Un-Civil War.

OK, but remember that you almost took out one of your pilots too. Keep tryin'. The North will rise again.

Great day to fly. Me, Cliff, Alvin and Brent all gave it a go. I had to leave too early and Brent had a small incident with a rotating prop. Stitches? How's the fingertip?

Fingertip is intact, thankfully.
No stitches. They managed to button things up w butterflies.

Wow, I wasn't rushing or anything. Just had put a new prop on (thankfully - nice and clean) The thrust test moved the wing more than I planned and pow. The prop made 3 hits - 2 deep lacerations into the fingertip and 1 into the fingernail. That's the good news.

The worst of it then came when the Doc made a comment about removing the entire fingernail. I literally had minimal pain up to that point. I came very close to passing out when he said that! They had to lay me down and then apologized profusely for telling me that.

Oh well, as they say, it's merely a flesh wound!
Good thing i'm travelling as i can type good with my thumbs on a blackberry. Though going thru security at 6am with this metal doohickey on my finger is gonna suck. I hope i don't get probed like an alien.

Brent that is good to here that the finger is still in tact, or will be in a week or so.
