It is a good way to fix roll stability in video, the inbuilt inav system is tax free weight wise, apart from the servo.
I also saw other versions using a gimbal board and motor just on the one axis, the roll sensor being fitted to the camera for better resolution. That system was pretty heavy though.

I for one did not know that. Thank you.

I 3d printed this roll/tilt gimbal meant for Runcam2 or Mobius cameras. I have it all assembled now with servos but haven't got around to flying with it yet. maybe I'll just use it on a selfie stick lol

but Andrew Newton channel on Youtube demonstrates these type of CAMSTAB gimbals in operation on planes already. It's pretty neat but not as refined as a brushless gimbal.

found some great TPU mounts for the i360Go on Thingiverse. very simple, small, light, allow access to the button and allow good cooling/airflow. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4317063

not too impressed with the video quality on this cloudy day. I am seeing too much jello here, albeit my props were bent recently in a crash and maybe need new props:

video:
testing insta360Go FPV MODE (2 min 16 sec)

I had much better video quality and minimal jello when running in the old interval mode with the same camera on my airplane

Nanogoblin chase with Insta360 Go (1 min 11 sec)

I saw those mounts, but haven't got round to printing yet. However, I do wonder whether the price you pay for better cooling is lack of support for the shakes? I printed this one:

When mounted on top of the lipo (Chameleon ti), there is minimal jello. Mounted on the side of the lipo, lens directly over a rear motor, I do get jello. There is not much tpu between the base and the case and the prop wash becomes an issue.

I REALLY want a nanogoblin.......

Slightly off topic, my laptop is getting a bit long in the tooth. What would be a good base spec for a pc capable of video editing at a reasonable speed? I'm thinking tower as I have a pretty good HP monitor and there's more bang for your buck viz laptop. I'd also be wanting to run a sim at decent frame rate.

Any help appreciated,
David.

My dad runs Realflight 3 with decent frame rate on his old Windows XP system

My old computer could edit in 1080p, struggled with 2k and couldn't really handle 4k
AMD FX-4300 Quad-Core: CPU bench of 2932
GeForce GTX 660: GPU bench of 3954

My new computer rips 1080p, no more waiting overnight for rendering and handles 4k fine.
AMD Ryzen 9 3900X: CPU bench of 32830
Radeon RX 5700: GPU bench of 14201

When shopping for a new computer I found it better to just compare bench testing numbers than to try to sort out what the hell the difference is between a Titan Vega Earlobe Ti Super and a Quadro MaxQ Wombo Combo Slapper Whapper Ti is. Sites that sell computer gear will try and tell you that a certain video card offers some buzzword (RTX enabled) over another one and to a certain extent I think they are right but really it's the benchmarks that at least to me that told the truest story of how much better something really is.

I considered the $900 ABS Mage from Newegg but managed to snag a deal on a higher spec PC from CyberpowerPC during a sale for just a few bucks more.

Great advice, thanks. And I'd really set my sights on a Titan Vega Earlobe Ti Super.........

Has anyone decased one of these yet? With the Naked GoPro all the rage right now, I have to wonder how light this thing can get.
