They did a great job with this model. I hope it sells well and they expand the model offerings with a smaller 10-15cc version

Agreed! What a neat plane! Should be able to high-alpha plop this puppy down.
No manual to look at yet, nor any video of this little STOL monster flying. NEED these!

I wonder if they will offer a float kit for it.

It appears to possibly have double beveled flaps to mix full span ailerons. Also curious where the battery hatch is located. Does anyone know for sure?

What scale is this , clipped wing 33% ?.. Nice looking AC.

EDIT

Well, based on the full scale savage wing span of 354.3" ( 29.525 ft ). This model having 102" wing span, would be around 28.79%.

Really a nice plane!
But what did they do to the windscreen and the side windows? It's a real eye-catcher on the original aircraft, and an important part of the overall design, which I really like.
I don't think it's easy to correct that either, and I would get annoyed about it all the time. That's very unfortunate because I've wanted this airplane as an RC version for a long time.
I hope I'm wrong and it looks better than expected. When a good side view of the model is available ...

The model seems otherwise very well done...

I agree.
Eagerly awaiting unbiased test flights!
I have placed a deposit with my LHS, full payment conditional on reviews and flight reports.
I've had hit-n-miss experience with Seagull models so I'm being cautious this time, it's a lot of money for a lot of plane.
If this truly is STOL and decent quality, I'll be taking a knife to tidy up the cockpit window frames. You are absolutely correct, and it has been bugging me too lol

Well, it is September. Aside from sporadic random production vids on their Legend fb page... this has to be one of the most underwhelming releases of a giant scale Cub that has overwhelming potential. I am now thinking if this drags on much longer I'll cash in my deposit and throw it at my el cheapo 1/4 Cub and mod the living daylights out of it, instead.

Yup, quite the disappointment. If I didn't have a 110" Timber, I'd be all about this plane. They really need a product video to describe the LE devices and to showcase the model airplanes performance. It's hard to jump on something like without a product review.

I Used To Have More Free Time!
Tomas told me they should arrive to him about September 16th. And then shipping to customers start. I ordered one. Powering it with a 4100 watt, Xprw 40CC motor on 12 cells of 5000mah. Probably a 22x12 or 24x10 prop, 120 amp , Pheonix Edge HV esc. , Turnigy 1501 high torque servos.
Anyone else have one coming?
And, I agree. I would have preordered it sooner, but was hoping to see some flight video or something else about it. A lot of these RC companies are just as bad at marketing as are the full scale Light Sport guys.
The website does not even give the weight of the plane, which is needed in order to choose motor, prop and esc. (It's about a 20-21 pound plane)
Tomas was nice enough to email me the manual, but it is 7MB too large to post here. I can email it to whoever would like it. It is not on the website for some reason.
I'll report back here once mine comes in.

Thanks for the update
Absolutely the marketing is woeful. I have a holding deposit to secure one but I won't be paying for it until I see some solid independent unbiased flight reviews and videos. It needs to *perform* super STOL- not just look the part. At almost $1,000AUD I need to know it performs extremely well. They won't be arriving Down Under until Oct/Nov so there is plenty of time for reviews to come forth.
That said, the glowing excitement has somewhat subsided with zero media marketing, my eyes are becoming more focused on my existing Cub.
I have an Axi 5330/24 doing nothing that's rated for 10 cell 21x14" ~ 22x12" prop equiv to 35~40cc IC. I may be tempted to try this motor on 12 cell.
Or a Tacon 160 on 12 cell.
