I want to make a computer power supply to run my field charger??

I have my old pc and was thinking of using the power supply to run my chargers so i can charge batterys at home with out opening the shed and car bonnet every time.
I know this can be done but am not sure. I know that there is a 12v output and a 5 volt output and i trhink that i need to load one side ( 5v ???) to help the 12 volt side. I don,t need much more than 2 amp power output.
Can this be done and any advice??
I don't want to damage my chargers or expensive li-polys.
Thanks Rob

Put a 10 ohm resistor between the 5v and gnd of one of the hard drive connectors. The resistor needs to be 5 watt or better.

Measure the 12v output, and check that it's reasonably stable the first time you use it. Also check the rated output of the power supply, and make sure you're within it.
