Philip N,
I will be following the Tigercat with very much interest.
I like the fuselage former/wing spar arrangement, it
should be strong and light.

Philip,
I really like the way the spars, nacelle formers and fuse formers are all integrated. I've never seen that before. Its so obviously simple, strong and self aligning. Brilliant, as they say in the Guinness commercials. Can't wait to see more

Wing panel construction

Hi, just thought i had better let you see how the wing panel in made.

First photo:
Plan stuck down and False L.E & T.E stuck to building board, these are cut so that you get the correct wash out on the wings.

Second photo:
Inboard, and tip rib stuck to LE & TE and upper spars fitted (Note wing is built upside down - you will see why later)

Third photo:
All ribs fitted and lined up with top edge of LE & TE.

Fourth photo:
Lower spars fitted.

It is now ready to be rubbed down ready for skinning.

More progress to the wings on the Mitchell, now you will be able to see why i skin the lower side first, its so that i can cut the slots for the formers.

Philip, very impressive design, inspirational really. I like the scale lines on your A-26, especially the tail section. Great job!

Very interesting design technique Philip. Integrating the nacelle and center fuselage formers into the spars should really help with ensuring everything is alligned.

I like it!
