Thank you for that clarification, Oliver. Sure wish there were more 65mm, Mini Evos available. I always liked them better than the 68. The old Pro and Classic rotors were easy to cut down. But, I don't trust myself with the Evo blades. Last 65mm Evo's I bought were from Don's. But he is out of bizz.

This thread is/should be about the new Midi Fan 100 evo.
Since there are many questions about upcoming 80 mm fans, trimming rotors etc., I started a separate thread for this: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...n#post44406351 Hope this is okay for you. Oliver |

I’m in, Midi-100 ordered! I’m glad i waited for this fan as it will be about as light a setup as you can get and the price is great! Now we just need some additional tailored motors. If HET would sell a 700-83-940ish kv motor (a 3.5D i believe), my guess is this would be a nice option for less than 110A and 14lbs/62N thrust on the bench. The efficiency numbers on the -83 motors look really good even at 5kw.
I’ll wait to see what happens on the next few months with the motors... i’ll have the fan for now to set up the mounting at least. |

You are right, there is a gap between 900 and 1100 kv, with many motor manufacturers.
We will get some motors developed to fit the gap. That was done before for the Mini Fan evo for example, where motors like 2W22, 2W27 or 1W35 where developed especially for this fan. However, there is a 700-83-975 already available. I can do some readings next week. Oliver |

What about TP Power? You can get a TP4050 with 930kV or 1050kV. That motor is comparable in size to the HET 700-83.

Product update
The Midifan EVO EDF's are live on the web store. They are available for preorder and I hope to have them here in approx 2 weeks. (with possible delay due to COVID-19)
https://www.effluxrc.com/WeMoTec_c34.htm I inquired with HET regarding some new kv's (~ 975-1000kv for 12s) and will also be looking at TP motors as well. |

Wemotec continues to be one of my favorite impellers for light weight setups. I have a jet that could fly on 90-100mm fan, but I am curious about possible 120mm impellers. Oliver, do you have plans for that size on the horizon?
Also what is the best 120mm inlet to 100mm Wemotec adapter available? Scott |
