Well I did a search for the Coast Guard markings and found the blue and red diagonal stripe with the anchors. I assume that is the one you are talking about. I also looked at some planes to see how they are applied and it appears that they wrap around; e.g. C-130. I see what you have been asking now. I did this in PS by cutting out the anchors, making a copy of the entire graphic and flipping it, cloning out the reversed anchors and then placing the anchors I had cut out initially. Of course, depending on your model's shape and scale the bars may need to be extended and the angles where they meet at the top of the fuselage may need to be modified. This is a simple graphic, I would probably redraw it as a vector for the highest quality in your cad software or better yet in a graphics art package like Freehand. If you're just going for stand-off scale then the bitmaps will probably work. Let me know if you need anymore help.

Another, even easier way, to do it would be to use tape or film covering to lay down the red and blue and then apply a decal of the anchors on the tape.

Since I was already on the USCG web site I posted these.

Anyone have vintage Continental Airlines graphics?

**Edit** I went ahead and drew my own. I'm still interested if anyone has some better ones.

Here's what I have so far. Feel free to use these non-commercially. I designed the nose art, windows, pin striping and "Continental Airlines" as one large decal for each side. If you are printing to 8.5x11 clear label or decal stock, you will need to print to 3 sheets and trim and butt them to get the whole decal. The tail art decals are separate as are the registration numbers. I included jpeg thumbnails below so you can see what your getting before you bother with the pdf. My originals, and the pdf's, are vector files and are smooth at any scale. Enjoy.

This paint scheme and decals are scaled to fit Gene Bonds flat foam P-51

The first sheet is intended to be printed on clear label stock for placing on light backgrounds. I'm actually only using the "Miss America", the two Phillips Aviation logos in the lower left, and the exhaust manifolds for the Miss America scheme. I added the rest to fill in the page and thought someone might be able to use them. The Shell logos are bitmaps because I ran out of time to redraw them. Everything else is vectored.

BTW, I moved the Phillips Aviation logo to the tail b/c with the crutch construction I ran out of room in the scale location.

Here are some sources. I've not used any of them, some have reported problems with beldecal and its related sites. Papilo looks like it has the best selection and the most professional website. Good luck.

some stars and bars. First one is formatted for GWS Mustang. Second one is a paint mask I set up for my CWS Corsair. I used it to cut for airbrush mask.
