Help

I'm trying to convert the following graphic so that I can enlarge it without gettign blurry and major distortion. I have Corel draw version 9. even with a manual a have absolutley no Idea what I am doing. Could someone convert this for me but then explain step by step how you did this. My other issue is that I would really like to be able to do this myself but I'm also kind of an instant gratification kind of person. Frustration levels get high fast because it is not working for me.
Thank you all in advance
Dave

One option for commercial logos, such as the ones that you are trying to reproduce, is to use existing vector graphics and modify them to your needs. In some cases these aren't available for free, but a good deal of the more common ones are. For example -

http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/sear...rand_id=157897

http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/sear...brand_id=48815

http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/sear...rand_id=160202

http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/sear...&brand_id=1470

http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/sear...brand_id=65634

http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/sear...brand_id=88335

http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/sear...brand_id=52265

Mostly these will be in EPS format, but Corel should handle that fine.

I'm not sure if these will help anyone but here are some special (and old) decals made for Granger William's exact scale Gee Bee R1 which won 1st place at the Nats in expert around 1980.

Converting web images.

I've done a few redraws of web images for making sponsors decals.
The problem is that they all seem to be at a resolution of 72 and need the resolution bumped up and then redrawing to get a crisp outline.

I use Photoshop and I've put a small three part tutorial here on how I do it.

Roulettes PC9 Decals

If anyone is interested in the Australian Aerobatic Team Roulettes scheme.

Here are scanned versions of the wattage kit decals

They are quite large in file size but I like to keep the detail with little pixelation.

I might be able to get some good graphics from there.
Thanks for the quick response.

Here’s a link with 72 US schemes for the P-40. I didn't look for the ones you were looking for, but I'll bet they're in there. You'll probably find a side view of just about any aircraft in this website. The only down side is 3 views are limited.
