Hand Launch Info

Hello everyone; I thought I would try something different here. Im going to try and compile a listing of links here for info on Hand Launch gliders. Either places that sell planes. Places with online plans like the Charles River RC site or whatever.
Im going to try to keep this as condensed as possible so feel free to post a link if you have something available just keep it on the topic of Hand Launch only.
If you post a link I will add it to the list and remove your post to keep this from getting to lengthy.
This will be a work in progress so bear with me and we will all try to get a solid base of info here.
Thanks; Adam

The website for the New Zealand HLG is:
http://www.geocities.com/impact_airframes/home.html
The bird (chuckle) is called the Raven. Their are a couple of reviews of it which can be found by searching on "Impact airframes".

Re: SuperGee

There is a lot of good info on the SG tucked away in the YahooGroups "Allegro" site. Many comments by MD himself.

Learn why he thinks a flat peg is better than a round one.

EPP DLG

Adam: I'm not sure of the etiquette of blowing one's own horn, here, so let me know if I'm out of place! But there are several newbie postings looking for handlaunch selection info, and I've just started making a kit for an EPP foam handlaunch that is fully discus-launchable. It ain't a contest ship at 14+oz., but it is easy to build, hard to damage, and easy to repair. It doesn't need transmitter presets or gyro, but it's designed for camber and flap mixing into the ailerons.

I don't have a website up yet, but one is coming soon. Please let me know if I should post more info.

Many thanks,

Looking for Lift
Adam, I've really appreciated your contacts through this page... I've finally moved up to an XP3 Pro (used) (on order)... question for you, (from an OLD novice at best)... Where can I get the Official HLG rules and typical Task for an event? (if you know of one, I need a specific website, phone number of address) I've looked everywhere even the AMA page... I have nobody that flies or even knows anything about HLG in middle Georgia...

again, many thanks for all you do...

For photos and a description of the Discus Launching technique:
http://www.jancomodels.com/discuslaunch.htm

A launch is broken down into steps (showing the four footsteps).
Each photo has written instructions for each step.
There's also an animated gif made up of the five photos.
The animated gif takes a while to load - about 5 minitues on my computer.

You are welcome to any of the links there that you don't yet have.
