The OAV settings are complete. I look forward to.
Looks good. Mine is still on the bench, OAV settings in place but not hand-tested yet.

Love your use of flat hinges! And your 3D printed horn and bottom supports are nice too.

Too many projects on the go, plus its flying weather now for me.

I need to retire so I can do ALL my projects !!

Keep the pics coming

Cheers

Thank ,,, I got it you reply on Youtube >>
How the Flight Controller Code Works - dRehmFlight VTOL (20 min 18 sec)

Hover: front motor gets stabilized pitch and throttle, rear motors get stabilized roll(+/- for each) and pitch(- of front motor) and throttle. Elevons are fixed at trim position, ailerons are fixed at trimmed down position, front motor tilt servo gets stabilized yaw.

Forward flight: front motor set to 0, rear motors get stabilized (or unstabilized) yaw(+/- for each) and throttle, elevons and ailerons get stabilized (or unstabilized) roll and pitch (the signs will depend on how the servos are mounted....but generally each 'side' of the aircraft gets same sign pitch and opposite sign roll), front motor tilt servo set to fixed trim position

Needs some modifications that aren't included in the plans. I recommend keeping the forward motor's dedicated tilt servo to avoid roll-yaw coupling in hover that I saw with just actuating the rear surfaces in hover for yaw. Make sure to mount the forward lift motor with a forward tilt to offset the rear surfaces

Use your favorite miniquad motors/escs with a 1500mah 4s for some crazy power. Cg is up for debate--I flew mine VERY tail heavy only because I had full stabilization in forward flight. It was hard to get a decent cg with the battery and front motor position. Right behind the fan and its tail heavy, in front of the fan and too nose heavy
Hi, Could you please share files for Front lift motor mount and tilted. Thank you. (a lot of were for wings)

Didn't realize I never posted my tilt mechanism... Here ya go!
All the parts are flat so they can either be laser cut from 3mm ply or 3d printed and superglued together. 3mm carbon rod for hinge. See pic for assembly

Here's the tail decals I used too for anyone that wants to just print on color printer and glue on. Print on a4 paper and they'll be properly sized

I have print this parts then assembly together then it has a little bit gap (1-2 mm). Is it ok or not ? or need some washer ring

Yes washers will do the trick! Or sand the top piece so the small brackets on its left and right can slide inward a little more

Hi @rcjetflyer2
How to mix radio signal for Elevator and Aileron (Elevon) for F-35 ? By transmitter or in the code.

In the dRehmFlight code, add the pitch_PID and roll_PID to the servo output for stabilized elevon control (or roll_passthru, pitch_passthru for unstabilized) like this:

s1_command_scaled = pitch PID + roll PID;

If either the roll or pitch motion for that control surface is reversed, make either of the above variables negative

Hi for s1_command_scaled : I also add the pitch_passthru , pitchOffset and roll_passthru , rollOffset in the code right ?

Single offset per servo output to level that control surface yes, but only either stabilized ..._PID or unstabilized ..._passthru, not both at the same time

Official plans + stls + code release

Tutorial video:
Making an Insane Hovering RC F-35 VTOL (21 min 28 sec)

All of the plans, part files, and decals attached below. They can also be downloaded here: https://hackaday.io/project/180603-rc-vtol-f-35-parkjet

Parts I use and recommend:
Motors: https://amzn.to/3qXXIU7
Propellers: https://amzn.to/3dMu52E
ESC: https://amzn.to/3wmjiD0
Battery: https://amzn.to/2TEVEEp
Servos: https://amzn.to/3hEwgGH
Teensy 4.0: https://amzn.to/3i5Zwqn
IMU: https://amzn.to/3htnU6a

dRehmFlight VTOL F-35 Code: https://github.com/nickrehm/dRehmFlight-F-35

The included code is setup for 3 flight modes: hover, transition, and forward flight. I've got it tuned very well, and all you need to do it get the servo trim setup (variables in the control mixer) after getting your radio setup with dRehmFlight.
