The Latest in Smart Technology

Spektrum Smart technology is about offering a higher connection to your hobby. It's a connection that puts you in complete control, makes you more aware and more confident about the capability of your equipment—all while making vital components of your model easier to use than ever. The combined result is a sense that will make you wish everything about your hobby was smarter.

Smart ESC's Smart ESCs deliver power and intelligence all-in-one. Without additional sensors or modules, they feed telemetry data straight to your radio in real time — keeping you better connected to your model than ever before.

Smart LiPo Batteries LiPo batteries with Spektrum Smart technology practically take care of themselves while storing unique data such as chemistry type, cycle count, charge rate, error log, and more, plus programming options to custom tailor the Smart LiPo battery to your needs. This innovative connection is made possible by an installed microchip on every battery, feeding the unique information through a data cable to the new IC3 and IC5 connectors.

Smart Chargers When connected to a Spektrum Smart Battery, unique parameters and health of your LiPo battery upload from the Smart memory microchip integrated into the battery. Through the charger, you can set and record preferred settings, such as charge rates and self-discharge options, so that all you have to do to charge the pack is press the “Start” button. Smart technology will take care of the rest. Every Smart LiPo charger is factory assembled with the next-generation IC3™ output connector that utilizes a data transfer pin to display saved battery information directly on the LCD screen.

When will Horizon Hobby release a longer version of the SPMXCA507 Cable for use with the various LiPo charging boxes? The SPMXCA507 too short at 4". We need at least 20" long cable.

1. Will you be releasing any HV ESCs such as 130V or 200V 12s capable?

2. Do you know if the delivery dates for the IX20 that’s listed on you website of Mid May still a good date or has that been pushed back.

I second the previous first question. Also will we see some larger batteries in the near future? Specifically to accommodate electric motors in H9 models.

Have to admit I’ve been slow coming around to this new Smart gear. I’m starting to see the possibilities, and hope the line expands to cover larger applications.

What sizes are you looking for? Currently the largest air pack that we have is the 6S 7000mAh.

Okay, I don’t know how... but I completely missed that you’d released anything bigger than 4S. That said, we do need some HV speed controllers for the H9 lineup.

Although we can't comment on upcoming products, we will have more Smart Technology products in the near future.

Make sure you are using a Smart compatible receiver AND that your transmitter is up to date. Hope that helps!

Fantastic demo. I have a question. If you have a fuel aircraft obviously you will not have a ESC. If you use a smart receiver battery such as your 2200 Life and a smart receiver will you still get those cool menus? (I also have and iX12 transmitter)

Thanks

my IX12 is up to date. I just updated it so i could use forward programming with my brand new AR637T rx. this is the set up i'm not getting live amp data.
After my flight i seen on another screen my max amps, but don't understand why this page here isn't showing amps.

My other plane has a AR410 rx in it with the 15amp Avian esc.
