Rosenthal Models Introduces 2020 Rosenthal Brand Products

San Jose, CA, April 3, 2020 — Rosenthal Models USA announces new and expanded offerings of Rosenthal Brand Products.

Rosenthal Models USA was founded in 2015 as the USA distributor for Rosenthal Flugmodelle Germany, one of the oldest and best-known manufacturers of Scale Sailplane and Glider kits.

The German company fell on hard times and the assets were sold off in 2017 and 2018. Rosenthal Models USA acquired several of the designs and tooling and has restarted production, updating some models, and introducing new ones, to continue the tradition of high-quality models at a reasonable cost.

Our current Rosenthal USA sailplane line-up is:

• 3.5-meter ASK-18
• 1:3-scale 5-meter ASW-15
• 1:2-scale 9-meter ASW-28
• 9-meter ASG-29
  • ASG29s

For power planes, we have the 4-meter (157-inch) Rallye Morane, a fully-molded scale model ideal for aerotowing with a 150cc engine. A unique feature of this model is a two-piece fuselage to ease transportation.

We have 3 new scale models in the final stages of development with molded fuselages and built- up CNC wooden wings:

• 4.2-meter Grob G-109
• 5.67-meter RF-5 motor gliders
• 1:2-scale 9-meter AS-33 sailplane with Styro/Obechi/Carbon wings with GPS airfoil by Philip Kolb

The very popular 1:3-scale ASK-13 has been updated with wing root fairings and a CNC wooden wing by a German partner, and we will be offering it again.

A couple of questions have been asked regarding the current Rosenthal Models kit composition, so here is some further info!

ASK-18 3.5-meter wingspan: fiberglass fuselage, canopy, CNC wood canopy frame, CNC wing and tail set, wing joiner and tube, fuselage formers and servo mounts.
This model has been re-engineered (airfoil, wing, wing rod, tail) to make a great scale slope model, FES electric power, or can be aerotowed. Fixed wheel can be fitted. Available to order in June.

ASW-15b 1:3-scale 5-meter wingspan: fiberglass fuselage, canopy frame; canopy; Obechi/carbon/foam wings with spoilers; plug-in stabs; fiberglass wing joiner. Options available are retract, wheel, tow release, wing bags. This model is highly recommended as a first large scale sailplane - it is easy to fly, thermals very well, and will accept an FES electric drive. Available to order now with delivery in July. ASW-28 1:2-scale 9-meter wingspan: fiberglass/carbon fuselage, rudder, winglets, canopy frame; canopy; 4-piece Obechi/carbon/foam wings and tail, spoilers, carbon/glass-filled aircraft aluminum wing joiner. Options available are retract, wheel, tow release, wing bags. US List $3027.00.
