Anyone know anything about crt's?

I want to use this crt from a panasonic camcorder as a view finder. Unfortunately I don't have a clue as to where any of these seven pins go.
Does anyone have an idea?

AP pro;)
Randall,

Can't help with specifics but be aware there is likely at least 10000V present - it may be less - don't remember that much detail! If it is 8KV it is capable of jumping a few mills in humid conditions - beware!!!!!!!!!!

You might have better luck searching google. we used to hack these things on my wearable computer mailing list. IIRC one wire will be comp video in and then various power pins and stuff.

I was able to find the power and ground wire. When I hook those up to a battery pack the tube goes very bright. When I try connecting my camera to any of the other wires it doesn't make any difference in the picture. It may be that I'm putting too much voltage to it. I'll have to try a few things and see what happens. Thanx.

I found out the exact camera it is. Now maybe I can find some schematic or something. It's a panasonic omni movie vhs camcorder.

There has got to be something more modern than a "picture tube". on the surplus market. Yeah usually pretty high voltage on the anode and you will know it if you get across it but its a small tube. Usually 1kv per inch of CRT. Not lethal but you won't like it one bit (speaking from experience)(the twitch is alot better these days)

The only time they've been out since I got them was two weeks ago when I had a tumor removed from my shoulder.......
