GWS Corsair

Finally got this one completed. Yet to maiden but it should cook with a 450 & hopefully will slow down nicely as well.

Alan

GiUsetoBe;

Very impressive on your corsair. I will suggest one thing that you may consider. Try to cover your aileron horn with something, I have seen them break on landing. They are off the groung with the gull wing but it has happend.
Love the blending of your paint job. Great job

From how I saw it fly the other day, you need more speed. Not really. It looks great.

Thanks for the tip. I've never stripped a servo belly landing before but sure enough I did with this plane. Used some old PZ wing deflectors like on the old FW. Works like a charm and they are really not noticeable.

Nice Me-109's gents. Still one of my alltime faves.

Here's my beat up old 109. Absolutely love this plane.

Nice 109s guys!!

Basha, I live at 10,000 ft in the rockies. Ski resorts are starting to open already Power plant in the 109 is an Arrowind 2215-20 outrunner with a CC 25 esc and 3cell 25c lipos.

At wot pulling just under 200 watts at 17 amps with an APC 8x6. On paper it looks to be a fast setup, still waiting to maiden do to a busy schedule. Maybe this weekend.

i have also build a 109-the black 3 JG-27 Gazala- and fly it with a modified Towerpro and a cut 9070 with 3s 1500 Lipo.
The 109 have a great figure in the air..but its not to control simply

Not yet, time/weather/daylights savings has kept me grounded. Soon I hope! I'll post pics and give a post flight report when done.

I have a new 3-d foamy halfway done on the bench and a GWS p-40 in line next. I'd better get the 109 in the air before I'm swamped with maidens

Nice paint on your 109 Chris03

awww maidens

Flew the 109 today, over cast and snowing but flew great! Scoots along at half throttle. WOT it turns into a 19 oz bullet! Everyone always says this but it is true, not one click of trim was needed. Very scale looking loops and rolls. Good thing I didn't run into any allied patrols, I was ready to mix it up

1350 mah 3s 25c got just under 6 min of flight with 11.35 volts in it upon landing.

Very pleased with the whole setup.

Arrowhead - Congrats on the maiden. the 109 is (IMO) the sleekest and fastest old style GWS bird out. Not easy to handle because it get small REAL fast.
