Just got my new ME-109 built. Still needs guns and weathering. Flies well on a 2S lipo at 11.5 ounces with about a 60 degree climbout. Quite fast on a 3S at 13 ounces close to unlimited vertical.

I know it's not a scale color scheme, but it's easy to see in the air.

(my kit had swastikas on the sticker sheet)

haiduk - what are you using for a motor/prop? My 109 has a YP2409-12 on a 8*4 and is wicked fast.

Hey Jim,
I'm using a TR 28-26 1650Kv Brushless Outrunner. I use an 8x4 Master Airscrew (nitro) prop with a 2S lipo for about 80 watts or a 7x5 with a 3S for about 140-150 watts.

Climbs at about 60 degrees with the 2S and pretty much unlimited vertical with the 3S. It's nice and light and relaxing to fly on the 2S and fast enough for me on a 3S.

I like the Master Airscrew Nitro props for these belly landers. They just don't break. Not as efficient as an APC electric prop, but I don't break the MAS props with every landing either.

Had a little too much fun modifying my estarter. Fantastic little plane, highly recommended. Rear gear leg needs to be extended for correct float angle. More pictures on my blog:

Nice collection of planes. Must give you plenty of pleasure flying them all. I flew my planes today also. I got 6 good flights in. Finally got chilly so finished a nice day of flying.

That's the cool thing about GWS. You can own like three planes for the same cost as one from most other brands. Say Hi to Paul Revere for me.

Nice Planes! Here are two of my GWS planes. Got two flights in on each today even though I could barely feel my fingers. Too cold for fun.

Anyway the Me-109 is my most loved and much battered & repaired plane. I have had to glue the fuse back together twice and the wing attachment point too many times to remember but the plane flies awesome. Powered by TP 2409-12T and 1500 Mah Lipo and an 8060 prop. Not sure I've ever seen any real Emil schemes with the swirl spinner certainly not Galland's plane but I think it looks cool so there you have it. Pilot is a PZ FW-190 pilot with Galland's stache painted on.

The T-6 is going to be a "Tora, Tora, Tora" style "Kate" torpedo bomber. I saw someone else had done this and I thought it looked cool. The pilot is a PZ pilot that I repainted and tried to make look like a Japanese pilot. It has a park 450 size outrunner and swings a 9050 3 blader. Performance is decent but i may go to a two blader for more speed. Hit a powerline on flight two about three months ago and just got around to the refurb so now I might actually put markings on her.

Thanks for the compliment.

The T-6 flies really good and the GWS 9075HD prop seemed to be the perfect setup for this plane. More than enough speed and I only put about 1000 mah back into a 2250 battery after 8 minute flights. I'm thrilled with so now I can finish the markings etc.

The 109 has always flown well but as always is mega responsive and needs a light touch on the sticks. Always love to fly that one although it is about as small of a plane as I'll ever want. Got the GWS Spit underway now and the Zero in the box and both of them are mrginally smaller than the ME-109. Oh well I guess I better eat more carrots!

Heres my GWS Beaver on floats. I use the floats as skiis to fly off snow in the wetlands that border my backyard. On my 5th flight, great winter flier. Brushless set up. I also used the carbon fiber rods from an old GWS plane (can't remember if its from my crashed GWS P-40 or Slow Stick) as a "spar" to reinforce the wing.

The paint scheme is based on a Royal New Zealand Air Force Antarctic Expedition plane from the 50's. Easy to see in the snow!
