Pt -17

Hey! Hey! Hey! New plane! After a wild maiden flight, I got the thing trimmed and it flies beautifully! Has the the stock 400 motor and the battery moved all the way forward. Cut a hatch in the front for the battery! Sheesh is this thing every tail heavy! This is my second PT-17 first one was a devil to trim too. Wound up super crashing it after a winter paint job. Wanted a second one because the first one flew off water real nice! Hope to do the same with this one.

A lazy day flying using my Slow stick. This model has a HexTronik 24gram 1300 kV Brushless Outrunner driving a GWS 10 x 6 DD propeller. The battery is a two cell 1600 mAh 20C Lipolly.

Finally completed the Formosa today! Might try a maiden this afternoon if the winds calm down. Tested the E-Flite 450 power plant, and it seems quite powerful on a TP2100mah 3S pack - we shall see...

some final pics:

A pic of the current collection....

Great looking Formosa! The paint job is second to none! It does need one finishing touch however. How bout a spinner! It would make the cowl and prop look much more complete. I put a 1 1/2 inch Dobro spinner on mine and it looked great. Required some cutting of the spinner to make it fit but what else is new!

I would love a spinner for it! My only concern was that the GWS ones don't fit, and I have very few threads left so I don't think a dubro one would fit.

A-10

Newest addition to the stable. GWS A-10 with two BLM0005 (4600kv) brushless motors. Static test showed 400 watts peak, 320 watts sustained. She taxis on the first detente of throttle when the motors kick on.

Started out life as a NPS model. Major mods were two BL motors (obviously), CF rods to strengthen the nacelles and wing, relocated the battery to the cockpit. Canopy is held on with neodymium magnets. Paint is 50 cent per bottle Michael's craft paint (grey).

Hope to maiden this weekend.

Jimbo,

That's a nice looking A-10. I went to the Super Fly event in Vegas (last week). I think 70% of the planes there were scale electric jets. Pretty wild. You should find the threads on it!!! Its inspiring.

Nitroaddict, this is the best looking Formosa I´ve ever seen!
How did you get such smooth colors and precise lines?
