Why dos GWS under power there planes? Just took my new SPITFIRE out today in 8mph winds range test, throw check, fire up and throw. She rolled right I gave left
and she rolled left and dove into the ground hard. fuselage in two pieces bint shaft
broken gear box and motor mount. IT WAS 350c BS with 8x6 prop. I brought her
home made all repairs put in a new 350c AS with 9x6 whent out to try her out and
the Spitfire flew like a dream. Fast and Furious! SO DO THEY UNDER POWER or
DO I JUST HAVE A NEED FOR SPEED?

Funny I Have built and flown most of the warbirds and have never found them under powered! with a fresh battery pack and the right prop they fly fine. most of the 350C planes fly just fine with a 1080 prop and a 7-8 cell 730mah lipo pack, its all about CG and balance thats where most people get into problems!

With the controls centralised, take off is like a carrier based Harrier . Is it a CofG problem, or shall I just feed in some down elevator. On landing I had to hold down in too. Cof G is on the nail of the instructions though.

A three cell Lipoly will likely toast your motors. Mine flies great on a GWS 1050 2 cell. Mike

In my instruction manual (in very hidden print) it does say that a 2 cell or a 3 cell LiPoly pack could be used. I only was intending to use the 3 cell capability to legnthen the flight time, by only using a small amount of the voltage, and increasing the throttle as power decreased. If you are all using a 2 cell pack, Brill, I will have a go at that.... I have a few 1200's and 1500 packs around the hanger .
Any clues on the ballooning effect of my maiden take-off? Just down elevator needed maybe?

C47 - Dakota

Everyone still got their DC3's............ What a brilliant little plane . It never ceases to impress the fuel guzzlers at our club. My quest is to covert the world to electric power (With lights of course).

Me-109 before and after maiden

Here is my stock Me-109 before and after its maiden flight. As you can probably notice the cockit and canopy are missing... On then ground the attachment felt strong but at the air it pop out during a steep dive and I lost it at the tall grass field.

To compensate the lose I put the decals on to make it look better. Also a picture of the antenna fix you might find useful.

clipped wing Estrarter

this is my second ES and is modified. Mods include dihedral removal, winglet removal, increase size of tail control surfaces, balsa ailerons, and a steerable nose wheel. Not yet finished but maybe by this week end.
