Beautiful Beaver. I love the colors that you chose. What kind of paint did you use?

LOL -- I was watching a movie called "Going The Distance" a couple of days ago... They got on an airplane called "The Eager Beaver". I'd love to see someone do a paint scheme of that airplane...

Great Looking Plane I have two words for you.

HOLD ON

with the motor combo you have and the battery setup you better brace those wings and stiffen the control surfaces.

Ask me How I now?

I went from a GWS 100 motor to the 350 and snapped my wings doing a loop, then I put in a brushless setup pretty close to yours just to see what would happen, well the beaver took off in like 2 feet and went straight up pretty cool to the about 100feet and then she kinda blew apart wings snapped off and anyways I learned how to repair her from my first one. what I would recomend is adding carbon rod to the front edge of wing and maybe I replaced the tail and the elevator with thicker depron or if you have some 3 mm or 2 mm laying around just double them up make them a little stiffer.

Otherwise great plane

OH I allmost forgot check your balance.

Thanks for the advice Tallflyer. I'm not looking for a stunt plane though. I just like the convenience of brushless motors, and had this one lying around. Also, the control surfaces are hinged with Dubro mini-hinges, so don't go worrying yourself over them either. You probably wouldn't have had the problem with your taking off straight up with a little better throttle management. Thanks for the reminder for checking the balance, but I have been flying for a couple of years now and always make sure it's spot on.

Cheers, NJF72

P.S. geigerr , I used TEstors Chrome and Metallic blue spray cans.

My GWS Islander. Covered in SolarFilm/SupetKote. I found the full scale on airliners.net and generated the graphics for the decals in Corel Draw as vector files. I then printed them on decal film on my Alps MD-1000 printer.
