RC is Lekker!

Well - The plane is complete - came out extremly light - only 15.25oz!!! Amazing - I didnt really do anything to lighten the plane, either. Very suprised with the addition of the monokote and balsa that it came out so light - that weight was AUW as well, 3S lipo included.

Cant wait to fly tomorrow morning - COG came out about 3-4mm behind the wingspar - is this ok?

Here are some pics.

And here is a picture of my GWS collection. The pink beaver is my girlfriend's plane. Boy, she's gonna kill me for that comment.

This is my Beaver I built, to teach my brother how to fly. Picture isn't great because I took it with my phone camera. This was his 3rd day flying, and he soloed. Made some perfect and some decent landings too. The Beaver is a great plane in my opinion !!

Stock GWS 350 motor and gear box
Great Planes Li-po safe ESC
GWS 2-cell Lipo 1050 mAh

Nice ! The 3 blader looks perfect on the Corsair. I like the flame motiff too. Did you fly the Beaver yet ? I like it better than the slow stick, because it gets pushed around less by wind, but still nice a relaxing to fly.

Tell me how it flys and what your setup is; I just got one this weekend, but so busy it'll take a while to complete it.

Any feedback will be usefull and interesting to me.

350c BS motor 3 peco servos 300 speed control and 2cell 1300 LiPo.
watch the C/G keep it to the nose. I used 2 part epoxy and put it inside the fus from the nose to trailling edge of wing as this is whare they brack on hard

Tusk91 as long as you have your CG right youor going to love this plane and your setup is going to pack a punch!

I remember my first flight with about the same setup! I hand launch so I was all ready moving when she left my hand I like to take her up about 100 feet and then just do some basic turns well I was at 100 feet like right now! I did alow pass at about half power and then I took her up wind and turned her around started a low pass and when I was like 100 feet away I slowly gave her full throttle! she was screaming scary fast to me I pulled her stragight up to a quick 200 feet of stragit up and did a couple victory rolls you will love it!

If you have a coumputer Radio set you throws for low and hig low to get up and then one your there use highs for quick rolls and stuff.

New 109

Here is my new 109 I put together to sell to somebody. It is glassed with 1/2 oz cloth and came out pretty smooth. No electronics yet. That is for the buyer to figure out. Enjoy.

3cell lithium packs blah blah blah. tried some crappy water based grey paint that took a month to dry i still dont think its dry it went on way too thick so the plane is a little over weight now 585 grams it will fly my last one weight that much with retracts and and another servo for flaps . so much for that paint! cant wait to see it fly
