nice mustang! hey Onega, when you say fully glassed, what exactly do you use? i have read threads where they use clear polyurathane and other things.
how does one "glass" a plane?????
Apr 08, 2005, 04:41 PM
I used 25gr/m2 glass cloth and Zpoxy resin (as seen in pic)
This is the first warbird I glassed, and i'm very happy with the results, but it
takes far more time to build it, so be patient. But what you get is a very strong plane!
A full glassing tutorial can be found on http://www.gws-fans.com/

My New GWS C47

Well I have to be honest I was not sure what to expect when I built the GWS C47 but I have to say it is one of the Best and easy to build kits I have built, I started out with the all silver version and as you can see I painted it amking it green and gray total build time was about 7 hours and If I had not been watching TV when I built it I think I could do it in like 4, I painted my plane with acrylic paint from Michaels craft store and applied it using my airbrush.

Another Corsair

Here is my Corsair just recently finished. It is named "Bubbles" after a young lady whom I used to date.

I have modified the battery compartment to conform to panel lines on the original Corsair.

GWS Beaver at sunset

This is my first build with many essential modifications including:
Steerable tail wheel
Heavier gauge wire landing gear
Foam 2" main gear wheels
Bamboo rod under leading edge of wing
Additional wing strut
Bamboo on leading edge of elevator
Switch to turn off power to receiver
Strapping tape for elevator and rudder hindges
Main wing pinned and screwed on (no rubber bands).
I love the way if flies and it is a wonderful trainer. C-YA RL
