New FLEXJET PRO 90MM EDF ARF+
This looks interesting, fully composite Flexjet!! I'm always looking for a airframe to put my X45 turbine in, and this could be a perfect candidate.

I'm definitely a buyer of this. I have a NIB 8s motor and EDF fan unit that would be perfect drop in otherwise I also have a NIB K45 turbine, if that's not too heavy. I'd love to drop in a Xicoy 45 but I only have one of those and its in a Sebart BAE Hawk.
Great colour scheme and composite, very nice indeed. Seems like a long while away though. |

I think the K45 would work great... maybe want to do a little throttle management at high speed?? Hopefully we can try it in the coming months if things work out right....
The FlexJet Pro really gives a nice solid 'fast jet' experience.... Good around the runway, but still locked in and aerobatic. Landing gear works awesome. The stiff airframe and high end servos definitely offer a premium feeling. It was on track to be delivered/shipped for Joe Nall until the corona-virus hit. The impact of that is of course still not known... but the manufacturing is well underway. David |

A couple of snapshots of the inside....
One looking a bit forward, one a bit aft.... One in the fan hatch between ventrals... David |

It is a totally different aircraft... bigger, stiffer, great servos, metal retract, metal fan, etc... 8S 6200 vs 6S 4200with larger cells (a good chunk of the weight is the battery (8x62 is 49.6 units , 6 x 42 = 25.2 units) so about twice the energy in that calculation).
They have similar aerodynamics. The FlexJet is a bit floatier, the FJ Pro is a bit more of a 'fast jet'... precise and groovier. The FJ Pro with a bit higher wing loading and can benefit from flaperons as are recommended. David |
