Same, with 3 exceptions:
1. Color 2. Esky 150 V2 has a cool tail light 3. HH support! (incl. parts, which are actually inexpensive and in my extensive experience with this item, unneeded unless you step on it or put it in the oven: it is a SUPER and extremely well-engineered non-HH design, rather a great Esky design and produced by them -- very, very well! -- highly likely in the same factory with arrangement btwn Esky & HH) I have THREE great 70 S's (2 in storage because it is perfect for my needs), plus a 4th early on with a defective Tx (made by Esky for HH) which was easily replaced by the store (the entire item, not just the Tx!). One of my first ones even had 150 V2 etc. molded into the foam packing, which is the SAME as the HH packing, that identification later removed from the foam mold in the other three 70 S's I bought the 70 S's because the stores here had them and not the Esky and I like the color of the 70 S. PLUS, there are several stores which can quickly get parts for it ... and absolutely NOT for the Esky, which is also not even available here in stores. So a no-brainer in my case. Get one of each and let your gf fly one and the colors will help you identify which is which in the air |

I bought an Esky 150 V2 but I'm not that impressed. I have only had three flights!
I personally prefer the V911. Fixed pitch aren't as good as a CP in normal mode, XK110 is far superior micro Heli. I bought the Esky, not for the colour or lights but just the cost difference, I plan to buy other helicopters. The left/right cyclic is far to aggressive on the 150 and the yaw is lethargic! I think the programmer got those two mixed up! I have been trying to sort out my Walkera V120DO2S and WL V950. I think both of them have the same problem. Not entirely sure but the servo gears have broken, jaming the servo which in turn has blown part of the control board? Awaiting V950 board still pondering forking out over £50 plus on the V120DO2S board. Next helicopter purchase XK130, Covid 19 is putting me off at the moment. |

Without looking at the time it was probably a late post and I wasn't thinking straight!
You probably knew what I meant without being pedantic! I'm still working and looking after my elderly mother that may or may not have Covid 19 and also dealing with my annoying bored possibly stressed (due for a cancer check) bum hole of a father! |

Sure, was only considering that since the item was intended for noobies incl. kids, and since there are usually more readers than posters in RCG, they might have been confused. Force of habit, actually (writing instructions, etc.). Sorry about your load, these are tough times for most of us and wish all turns out well for you.
Re: your dad, I personally understand the issue. My serious interest in planes started as a small child when my (actually chief) engineer dad was "forced" by my money-seeking mother to get out of aviation & engineering per se and go into something more lucrative. By association I got blamed for that and he'd come home and out of pent-up frustration step on whatever model I'd been building (since he could no longer) and that "inspired" me to continually try to make better ones that maybe he'd like better. We "made up" before he died. Happy Landings (in every sense), Lee |

The blade 70s is cheaper and I was reading on the multiprotocol site that the Esky150v2 protocol supposedly supports the blade 70s. So if you have a blade 70s and an opentx transmitter you can finally fly your little 70s with a decent transmitter. Default channel order is AETR and channel 5 is rates -100 low, +100 high. That's it. Can someone test this? I know the esky150v2 protocol works with the esky150v2 using a Radiomaster tx16s multiprotocol transmitter (that cost about $100 but is quite a step up from RTF transmitters for sure!). At least the esky150v2 you still have to arm the motors by holding full right rudder for 3 seconds after everything is powered up and ready.
You can use the opentx airplane wizard to set up the model in seconds. For channel 5 you can add one special function to override channel 5 with +100 when the desired switch is in default position -if you don't want to use low rates at all like me. That also only takes a second or two. On my esk150v2 and the RTF transmitter the rudder was very lethargic even on high rates, I had to give about half rudder to move the tail at all. But with my radiomaster tx16s the rudder moves the tail a lot more it seems. On high rates even indoors the ailerons/elevator were still kind of mild but at least not too sensitive. The crap RTF transmitters for the esky150v2 and blade 70s could be the major problem with them. I don't think you can even calibrate them. The RTF transmitters are so cheap there is probably a lot of variability from one to another. But mine made my esky fly much worse than its capable of. With a good transmitter it flies smoothly and responsively on high rates, certainly not too twitchy but I'm an intermediate pilot and still found it enjoyable to fly in the living room. Its so small it makes the living room feel much bigger. Certainly the rudder won't spin it as fast as an acrobatic heli like the nano s2 but you can swoop around and do funnels with it. I'm intermediate level so I don't fly it at all in low rates and wish high rates were faster, but its still fun. It seems that aside from some minor differences the esky150v2 and blade70s are identical. I may buy a blade 70s to see if it will bind to my transmitter and if it flies the same. |
