Hobbyking 950 DLG revisited

I have not been flying my DLG for a while due to a bad right hip and lately a bad left foot. The pleasures of growing old. The other day I noticed my old Hobbyking mini 950 sitting covered in dust and It occurred to me that I could probably throw it without putting pressure on my hip. I cleaned it up and took it out yesterday. What fun. I threw for about 45 minutes until my hip began to be a problem. These where cheap (under $100.00) and how I got into the sport. They sold a lot of these from both Hobbyking and Banggood. It is a shame they are no longer available.

I've been flying mine since 2017. Great little plane for the money, at least when it was on sale for $67. Mine has hours of flight time and considering the hang time that's a few throws.

I treat mine like a much more expensive glider and it seems to have kept it flying.

It has always been available from Aliexpress, Ebay and now on Banggood as the GTRC 950mm but now it is around $170. At that price it's pretty close to the cost of an ELF and not something I'd consider. Under $100 I'd probably buy a spare.

Great to hear somebody else still having a good time with one.
