Even under the wings program here in Canada, the ability to taxi is not part of the "wings" program. As copied from the wings program manual.

"A" LEVEL BASIC CONTROL
Before taking the "A" level Wings test the prospective pilot must demonstrate to their
instructor that they are capable of flying the test from either direction and have mastered
dead stick landing procedures. While these capabilities are not suitable to be
demonstrated in a "test" situation they are viewed as mandatory capabilities for
competent pilots.
Candidates must demonstrate on two successive attempts during their examination period
his ability to:
1 Take off and land unassisted.
2 Maintain straight and level flight parallel to the runway.
3 Perform a figure eight.
4 Rectangular Approach.
5 Land under power.

For years we have had fliers with sailplanes who have received their wings without demonstrating theit taxiing ability. Foam park flyers are no different. If the club has added the taxiing componet it is a local club issue, not MAAC wings.

A bit off topic of the orginal thread but thought I throw my 2 cents in.

At the risk of sounding like a lazy sod, I'm looking for a jet I can make quickly out of blue foam and will be suitable for a 200-300 watt outrunner I already have after a fatal crash in another pusher.

I like how some of the F22s are appearing, but is there an old-faithful that a lot of people would agree is a staple blue foam jet, in the same way a super cub is a staple trainer for newbies?

Ikarus Sukhoi SU-27 XXL Shockflyer plans

I'm looking for a profile plane of the Ikarus Sukhoi SU-27 XXL Shockflyer(29-3/4" wingspan, 41-1/4" long, 16 oz). I want this plane but why pay $60.00 for it when i've got all the equipment to build and fly it. I just need the plans Thanx

Kyle,

You should try this one:

https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=803385

Granted, it's an Su-37 instead of an Su-27, but you could make it a 27 by leaving off the canards (or leave them on and do the 37 ). It's just a hair smaller than the Ikarus (28" WS), but it flies great!

xl 166% FA 18 parkjet pusher prop

Here is a FA 18 I made from depron with plans from jetset44. Flew really well. put undercarriage on it to take off from ground. Landed very softly. A bit heavier than others I've seen on the web, and touch under powered. Have ordered a larger motor from Hobby City to get get more thrust. Weighs about 2.3 kg. Thought I put in a few show off pics. Cheers from Gold Coast Australia.
