Beech A36 Bonanza Crashes @KAJO

A Beechcraft Bonanza A36 departing RWY 7 @Corona Muni, CA crashed in a small wooded area @the departure end @1200L this afternoon. All “4” souls aboard perished. The KTOA (Torrance)-based A/C was carrying 80-Gal. of fuel. One witness said during the take-off run, the Bonanza bounced several times, but failed to climb more than 2-3’ off the runway. Exceeded MTOW? Failed to develop full-power?

Need more data. That will come with time.

FWIW, witnesses are seldom reliable.

One theory is a tailwind. We get Santa Ana winds out of the east this time of year. The runway is East west.
