Me too. I’ve been dreaming of visiting Lucerne Valley dry lake someday, It’s on my bucket list. It’s located about 18 miles east of Apple Valley, CA. EVERYONE who launches there arrives well before sunrise, and departs well before noon, due to the HIGH winds generated.

Just finished building an Estes mini-powered “220-Swift” yesterday morning. I didn’t stay true to the colors on the package-photo. It’s nice, though.

I never had/built a mini engine model, my fingers are too fat for small work.

They’re great practice, before you try a Level-2 or -3 scale-model type.

That Bullpup 12D (Skill Level-2) looks interesting, yet simple to paint (Gloss White overall).
