Tail too sensitive?

Is it normal for my tail to be very sensitive around center stick in Head lock mode, but linear in Rate mode while testing on the bench? I don't want to take it up in Head lock and not be able to control the tail.

Thanks.

You can’t tell how it’s working in heading lock when it’s sitting on the bench because it can’t swing the tail.

Just reiterating previous response: Yes, it's totally normal for the tail servo to respond in a 'non-linear' way if the heli is sitting on the bench.

My tail (Pirouetting) is to slow. Takes 2-3 seconds to do a complete revolution. Please advise!

Could be a few things:
  • Headspeed too low (especially if clockwise slower than anti-clock)
  • End points not correctly adjusted in the FBL/gyro so you are not getting full pitch range.
  • Pirouette rate set too low in FBL (called different things in different FBL systems)
