yeah, someone needs to include this data in their response to the nprm, and data on how many models we each use per "ground station"
give them an idea just what they are actually dealing with.

Hmm. Flyable I have 7 above the 0.55lb threshold, plus 4 toy-grade. Three not flyable.

If it flies, I can crash it.

There should be a "too many" choice. I've got about 75 models in my newest radio, and probably better than a dozen more I haven't flown since I got the new radio, so I haven't moved them over yet.

45. Ventus 2c scale ship 3 meter 118 inches 54 ounces
46. Carbon Jester 60 inch 26 ounces

All are flight ready unless stated otherwise by ((())).

And this is what I have unbuilt still new in box.

Windrider Fox foam glider
LEG P-51 60 inch foam glider
DAW Schweizer 1-26 foam glider
2 Dreamflight Ahi foam gliders

I have gotten out of all electric power park flyer airplanes. I only fly gliders now. And drones some, but not as much as gliders

46 in current fleet. All flyable other than a couple of listed that need repairs or need to maiden. . And 5 new in box. So 51 total RC gliders.

All aircraft are in my Spektrum DX18 and all are backed up to an external hard drive.

Rather than buying new airplanes what I’m trying to do is just make sure everything I do have is ready to fly.
In other words (in military terms ) I’m working on my “operational readiness”! Operational Readiness is defined by the Department of Defense (DOD) as “The capability of a unit/formation, ship, weapon system, or equipment to perform the missions or functions for which it is organized or designed.”

So right now I have 41 ready to fly out of the 46 in current fleet not counting New In Box I don't know if I should count New In Box because some of those are just backups. So they will not be built unless I destroy the one they back up.

take 41 divided by 46 = 89% Operational Readiness
or if we consider everything
take 41 divided by 51 = 80%

My end goal is to be at 100% Operational Readiness.
I know that is a elusive number.
And even if I get the fleet to 100% it’s unlikely it will stay at 100% for very long. maintenance issues will come up that take a aircraft out of service now and then, or a crash that will need repairs will also take a aircraft out or service until repairs are made
But staying in the high 90s should be doable.

I am also a Drone pilot
as far as drones I have
1. DJI F-450 quad
2. Phantom1
3. Phantom2
4. Phantom3Advanced
5. Phantom4Pro
6. Mavic1Pro
7. Mavic2Pro
8. Inspire1Pro with X5Raw
9. Inspire2 with X5S
all flight ready

I used to have 2 more F450 and 3 of the F550 and a P2Vision and P2Vision+ and a Mavic Air but I gave those away, except for the Mavic Air that I returned because of a bad camera.

And then for both the gliders and drones I have more spare parts and accessories than I care to inventory. But I should for insurance purposes.

Grand total 60

So yeah, I have some skin in the game!

I usually keep between 4-5 models ready to fly at all times and sometimes may have a few
others in need of repair.
