would like this explained photogenticly a photo being worth a thousand words

a good (or at least the best i know of off hand) illustration to show you how to do the ailerons off of one servo is here
http://www.gws.com.tw/english/servic...ane_manual.htm

its the manual from the gws a-10, which uses one servo in themiddle of the wing push/pulling

This was a while ago. I searched quite a bit and I happened on some that depicted what I was after. It isn't easy to have 1 servo to control both ailerons and get it just right!

2 rods bent into the ailerons, then run back to the middle of the wing, where there are little arms on the rods. then control rods come from the servo to the little arms. system was originally in a rare bear i had, that blew to pieces, so i recovered the rods and used them again. weee.

It helps alot to have adjustable rods instead of having to adjust the control surface in the primitive fashion I did. Is there a closeup version of that pic?

where the servo rods connect are little wood arms that are mounted on a plywood block. the block has a hole drilled in and the rod from the aileron is glued into it. but if i was going to do it the same way again, i would use pieces of small wood dowel, or maybe bamboo skewer pieces with holes drilled in. then attach the horn to said dowel. make sense?

Thank You for the posts
It is sometimes frustrating to look at all the searches and find a post with the right questions but no answers.
When I get my single ailerons setup I will snap some close-ups.

Here's my setup

I had to screw on servo arm extenders made from scrap plywood. Hope it holds!

That looks a little scary.

ok

It's seems to be working ok. my ailerons are being held on by tape alone. After a few crashes, the glue is adding to the weight.
