can astro gearboxes be converted for brushless motors

I love astro gearboxes.Strong and no prop adaptor necessary. I have used them with can motors with a spacer, but would love to use them with Mega 22/30/3 or other metric shaft motors. Is there a way?

Get in touch with Kirk at New Creations. He has pinions for diff diameters, or bores them out. I have done a astro box on a jeti 15/4 with one of his 5mm pinions. Was very reasonable, aslo.

First of all, astro makes brushless motors with 1/8" and 5mm shafts, so you can buy astro brushless with astro gearbox.

You can also buy both superbox and regular gearboxes with 5mm pinions. Mega motor/astro gearbox is a robust combo.

Here is a place to start:

Note that on that page you can buy just the 5mm pinion gear, so if you have some astro gearboxes with helical gears you can buy just the pinion for 5mm shafts.

Astro makes great products but does not advertise all of them. Even their webpage ( does not show all details about their stuff.
