Question

Corona Batteries for a tight budget...($15 ea)

Saw these batteries today,
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...962645816&rd=1
With the Mega 1615/3, would they be good enough to learn on for the time being? I eventually will to go to Lipo's.
They're rated for 30 amps..... would I be wasting my money?
Thanks in advance,
Neil

"No cell memory, you can recharge the pack without fully discharging!" ummmm...yeah..from this statement alone I would be suspicious about the quality of these packs. You don't have to discharge any Nimh but it will have a memory effect. I guess for the price its worth a shot but personally I would just go with proven packs like the GP3300 or the Sanyos

I recognize those guys because they're in Richmond, CA...that's batteryspace.com.

Try searching for "batteryspace" in this forum. They've been mentioned before. I vaguely remember people being unhappy with short flight times on those batteries.

I bought some of the 8-cell 3000mah powerizer batteries and they are nothing but pure junk. After cycling these at least ten times the best run time I ever got was 5-6 minutes and if you let them sit for any time before using they loose their charge pretty fast. Where as the 3000 cells I bought from Austin at maxamps.com they get 8-9 minutes pretty easily, even after sitting for a while.

Bottom linr is stay away from them

For those people that don't know, batteryspace.com = powerizer batteries.
