I run 3 of the same units Bob suggested with the same motors. No need for water cooling on that motor. TRUST ME!! I run it full throttle pulling barges and the motor doesn't even reach body temperature. You will probably need to cool the ESC's and that is quite easy with the KMB jet drive. It has a built in port to pull water through the cooling system. Check out some of my builds to see the process...

Man I am enjoying watching this build... But please use a 6-inch putty knife and follow the frames.. things will go a lot easier for you... Start at the keel pull to the Chine start at the chine and pull to the gunnel... Use the plastic credit card for the final fill... It would save you soooo much sanding.

Please note:

In the photo you have next to the plug you are making, both the transom above the knuckle, and the openings for the jet drives, are not correct, as they have been modified.
There are other better, correct photo's around anyway.

Hmm-the differences are subtle, I guess I don't really see it except for the exhausts or maybe scuppers

It was more the shape.
Also put the third layer of drywall on. Maybe one or two more ?

As for the jet outlets this is just how long the boats were in use.a jets being updated.

And the jets will not be a model used on the boats during Nam.
And the motors got here today. Now I need the jets. Germany is so far away .

Also have over 100+ photos of the boat. But thanks for posting them.

Yes the KMB 28 comes with a choice of reverser type or no reverser at all-just curious but I can wait and see.
